Supply Chain Management encompasses planning, design, control, and execution of all business activities associated with a company’s procurement, production, distribution, and sales order fulfilment functions. It involves the administration of supply and demand, sourcing raw materials and components and procurement, manufacturing and assembly, warehousing and inventory tracking, order processing and management, distribution across all channels, and delivery to the final customer.
The program provides participants with the core knowledge related to a wide variety of supply chain activities, including demand planning, manufacturing planning and control, purchasing, transportation management, warehouse management, inventory control, material handling, product and service support, information technology, and strategic supply chain management. Participants will also be able to develop and utilize critical management skills such as negotiating, working effectively within a diverse business environment, ethical decision making, and use of information technology.
